Total litres dispensed

An estimation of the total number of litres of all water dispensed. This is derived from transaction records collected from dispensers in the date range provided, for tags registered to relevant water systems, organisations and countries. These transactions are filtered to remove outliers (negative transaction amounts or transaction amounts greater than one billion, and transactions where where literage was reported as negative or in excess of 200 litres). Transactions for tags that are not registered to a household are also not included in the calculation. The total number of litres is a sum of values calculated by assets based on measured flow rate and flow time.

Total people served

People served is an estimated total derived from all transaction records collected from dispensers in the date range provided, for tags registered to relevant water systems, organisations and countries. These transactions are filtered to remove outliers (negative transaction amounts or transaction amounts greater than one billion, and transactions where literage was reported as negative or in excess of 200 litres). Transactions for tags that are not registered to a household are also not included in the calculation. The number of unique tags that performed a transaction in this time is counted and multiplied by the average number of households registered to a tag, and them multiplied by the average household size. The average household size is obtained from the Kenya Bureau of Statistics.

197

People registered

The total number of people within the total number of households that are registered to this dispenser. Deleted households are ignored. Individual household quantities are self reported and are cleaned to assume a minimum quantity of one and a maximum quantity of 20 people per household. The time window for calculating universal averages for Mahigaini Field begins from the commercial reporting start setting for Mahigaini Field, which is currently set to midnight 06/12/2024 (UTC time)

Water value dispensed

The value of water dispensed is an estimation of the financial value of all water dispensed. This is derived from transaction records collected from dispensers in the date range provided. These transactions are filtered to remove outliers (negative transaction amounts or transaction amounts greater than one billion, and transactions where literage was reported as negative or in excess of 200 litres). Transactions for tags that are not registered to a household are also not included in the calculation. The total number of credits reported is multipled by the most recent exchange rate of0.0015

Smart taps working

Of the dispensers in service, this is the percentage not experiencing downtime. Downtime does not include connectivity or communication problems, but relates to faults with the asset and its hardware. The specific faults that apply to this number are as follows: Power failure, low battery, valve fault, valve jam.

Water supply availability

Of the dispensers in service, this is the percentage not experiencing issues due to a lack of water flow or pressure. Downtime does not include connectivity or communication problems, but relates to faults with the water supply to the tap. The specific faults that apply to this number are as follows: low flow.

Average litres dispensed per day

Litres dispensed per day is an estimated total volume of water dispensed within the given time period. Data is derived from all transaction records collected from dispensers in the date range provided, for tags registered to relevant water systems, organisations and countries. These transactions are filtered to remove outliers (negative transaction amounts or transaction amounts greater than one billion, and transactions where literage was reported as negative or in excess of 200 litres). Transactions for tags that are not registered to a household are also not included in the calculation. The total number of litres dispensed within a 24 hour period (UTC midnight to midnight) are aggreated and divded by the total number of days covered by the given date range.
